Courses

Numbers of students are kept to a minimum; there are no more than 1 to a pole on the courses, and 2 per pole for Pay as you Pole.

There are 3 different types of courses – Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.

The classes run every week, on the same day each week which is stated next to the location. You can book when there is a space.

The number of spaces available is to start in the next class, unless another date has been specified.

Taster Pole Class

This is a class offered to those who are new to pole or new to Purity, this way you can see if you like it without having committed to a full course. Please note Tasters are only offered once per person as an introductory offer. This is a 1 per pole. 

Beginners Pole Course

The Purity Beginner course takes on average between 1 and 2 months to complete, this is suitable for beginners to pole and low levels of fitness. By the end of the course you will be able to perform a series of mini Pole Dance routines comprising of tricks, spins, freezes and linking moves, these mini routines can then be linked together to form one long routine. This is a 1 per pole class.

Beginner Improvers Pole Course

The Purity Beginner Improvers class is great for those who have recently completed beginners and are not quite ready for the Intermediate class. Or for those who haven't poled for a while, and want to get back into it. We spend time recapping beginner moves, building up strength, along with starting on the easier side of Intermediate moves. Inverts are practiced in this class, to those who are capable. This is a 1 per pole class.   

Intermediate Pole Course

The Purity Intermediate course takes between 1 and 2 years to complete, this is suitable for those who have completed the Purity Beginners course or a similar course elsewhere. The Intermediate course has mini routines, free styling, linking moves, spinny pole inverts, poles sits, spins, combination moves and routine workshops (3 lessons spent learning a choreographed routine).

Advanced Pole Course

The Purity Advanced course is only for those who have completed the Purity Intermediate course. If you think you are ready for the Advanced course then please contact Purity first. The advance course contains a similar variety of tricks as the intermediate one but the moves, routines and combinations are at advance level and use both spinny and static pole. This is a 1 per pole class. 

Pole Drills

A 30 minute power class designed to increase your strength for pole, and tone you up. We use exercises both on and off the pole. Ideally come along either before your Intermediate class or after, you can book on the day.

You are welcome to add this to your usual booking and recieve a discount. You don't need to already be a Purity Student to come along.

This is a drop-in style class, meaning you can book on the day up until 6pm either through the website, or by bank transfer (please note enough time needs to be given for the transfer to complete before the class), cash or cheque is not accepted in class.

Clothes: Please come dressed for exercise. Tracksuits or leggings can be worn.

Pay As You Pole

These are pay as you go classes, and can be booked on the day up until 5pm, a discount is offered when booking a 3 classes in one go. These are very different than the courses, as there is a maximum of 2 per pole, beginners and experienced polers are welcome. This means the classes are much more trick based, so routines and spinny pole will not be taught. These classes are particularly good for those not able to commit to a regular course. Current Purity students on courses get Pay as you Pole classes for half price.  

Absolute Beginners Aerial Hoop

Absolute beginners Aerial Hoop classes also known as Lyra, will teach you how to mount the Hoop in various ways. You must complete this mini course before moving into the beginners improvers class. All moves are concentrated on the bottom bar. No more than 3 per Hoop.   

Beginner Improvers Aerial Hoop

Aerial Hoop classes also known as Lyra, teach you a range of movements on the Hoop, including various basic poses, linking, routines and conditioning. All moves are concentrated on the bottom bar. No more than 3 per Hoop. You must be able to mount the Hoop easily before joining this class.   

Intermediate Aerial Hoop

You must of completed the Beginner Hoop moves before moving on to the Intermediate course. Here you will learn variations on the beginner moves, new intermediate moves, linking, conditioning, routines, along with some top bar work. No more than 3 per Hoop.  

Other Course Information

All Courses comprise of weekly sessions lasting 1 hour per week. The weekly lessons are on going and you can join at any time providing they are not booked up. They are to be booked in 1 month blocks.

Courses are held in a clean and professional environment which is not over-looked by spectators. There is a relaxed but hardworking atmosphere during lessons and most of all expect to have fun and make lots of new pole buddies.

We use state of the art Xpoles; The Titanium xpole - these are excellent poles, especially if you have slippery hands as they give extra grip. 45mm Chrome Xpole - great for small hands, and also the standard Chrome Xpole.

If you are unsure if pole dancing is for you or you want to do a one off exercise class then why not try a taster session. This is a one hour lesson giving you a chance to see what a pole dance class is like.

You need to have completed the previous course before moving onto the next one, handouts will be supplied for each course detailing the moves you'll learn.

Our only age requirement is that you are over 16, apart from that all ages and fitness levels are welcome.
